People’s Financial News, March 24 — On March 24, local time, the new Danish parliamentary election officially began voting. Polling stations are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Denmark’s parliament has a total of 179 seats, including 175 seats on the Danish mainland and 4 seats from Greenland and the Faroe Islands. According to Denmark’s political system, the party or coalition that gains a majority in parliament (90 seats or more) will have the leading power to form the government. Denmark’s elections use proportional representation, and vote counting usually begins immediately after voting ends.
