In the Maolan Karst Forest of Guizhou, a scientific expedition team discovered a remarkable "underground forest" in a subterranean cave. Tree roots have broken through rocky barriers, threading through fissures to reach underground rivers and draw stable water sources, growing silently in darkness. Bat droppings mixed with fallen leaves and debris form a natural nutrient reservoir underground, providing energy for the massive root system and serving as the forest's "energy center."
