Stock Market Plummets Across the Board
On March 23, the A-share market experienced a day of volatility and adjustment, with the three major indices opening lower and declining further throughout the day, each dropping over 4%. The Shanghai Composite Index barely held above the 3,800-point mark at the close. By the end of the trading session, the Shanghai Composite fell 3.63%, the Shenzhen Component Index dropped 3.76%, and the ChiNext Index declined 3.49%. The Hong Kong stock market was also sluggish, with the Hang Seng Index closing at 24,382.47 points, down 3.54%; the Hang Seng Tech Index closed at 4,712.48 points, down 3.28%.
U.S. Bans Import of Consumer Routers Made Abroad
On March 23, U.S. time, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced that consumer routers manufactured abroad have been added to the Covered List, citing potential threats to U.S. national security. Exceptions are made for products approved conditionally by the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
