The Strait of Hormuz remains open to all vessels except those linked to "enemies of Iran," stated Ali Mousavi, Iran's representative to the UN maritime organization, according to The Guardian.

He added that passage through this waterway is possible with coordination of security measures with Tehran. The Islamic Republic, according to Mousavi, is ready to cooperate with the International Maritime Organization to enhance maritime safety and protect sailors in the Persian Gulf.

According to Mousavi, the reason for the "current situation in the Strait of Hormuz" was attacks by Israel and the US on Iran.
