According to reports from Wccftech and other Korean DealSite sources, Apple has finalized an order for Samsung’s DS division (semiconductor division) LPDDR5X chips for the iPhone 17 series, with prices doubling compared to previous rates. Recently, Apple also held an emergency meeting with Samsung’s DS division to discuss supply arrangements for the first half of this year to ensure supply chain stability.

Industry insiders revealed: “Samsung’s DS division initially aimed to increase the price by 60%. In the first round of negotiations, they tried to test the waters by proposing a 100% increase, but unexpectedly, Apple accepted directly to secure inventory, and the price was finalized.” (Science and Technology Board Daily)
