Today (March 20), Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a written message on the upcoming traditional holiday of Nowruz (March 21), which marks the Iranian New Year.

Khamenei stated that Iran experienced multiple rounds of “military and security conflicts” over the past year, resulting in casualties among military commanders and civilians. He accused Israel, supported by the United States, of carrying out attacks on Iran and said that these actions failed to achieve their intended goals.

Regarding domestic affairs, Khamenei said that external forces attempt to influence Iran’s social stability through economic pressure and public opinion tactics, but the mobilization capacity and social cohesion of the Iranian people have effectively thwarted these efforts.

Economically, Khamenei emphasized the need to strengthen national resilience through developing a “resistance economy,” improving people’s livelihoods, and infrastructure development.

On the diplomatic front, he stated that Iran will continue to prioritize relations with neighboring countries and called for increased cooperation and unity among regional nations, including Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Khamenei also pointed out that recent attacks in Turkey and Oman are unrelated to Iran or other “resistance axis” forces.
