TechFlow News - Deep Tide: On March 19, according to Golden Ten Data, the U.S. Wall Street Journal reported on the 19th, citing sources, that the United States is deploying additional troops to the Middle East and may seize critical Iranian oil export hubs to force Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz. The report states that the U.S. Marine Corps 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, with approximately 2200 personnel, is traveling from Japan aboard amphibious assault ships toward the Middle East, expected to arrive in about a week. The United States may use this force to occupy Halul Island, using it as leverage to compel Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz. Frank McKenzie, former commander of U.S. Central Command, said, "The (U.S. military) can destroy its (Halul Island) oil infrastructure, which would cause irreparable damage to Iran and the global economy. Or it can occupy it, using it as a bargaining chip."
