➢ Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said he plans to remain at the central bank until the conclusion of the U.S. Justice Department's investigation into the Federal Reserve building's renovation costs.
"I do not intend to leave the board until the investigation is fully and completely concluded, ensuring transparency and clarity."
Powell added that he has not yet decided whether he will continue to serve as governor full-time after the Justice Department investigation concludes.
❗️Powell said that if his successor is not confirmed before the end of his term as chairman, he will serve as acting chairman on an interim basis until confirmation.
