The British High Court is hearing a case brought by Ping Fai Yuen (Ping Fai Yuen) against his estranged wife Fun Yung Li (Fun Yung Li) for allegedly stealing 2323 Bitcoin (worth over $172 million) from his Trezor wallet in August 2023. Ping Fai Yuen claims that Fun Yung Li obtained the Bitcoin's seed phrase through secret home surveillance, and contends that recordings are key evidence. Judge Cotter (Judge Cotter) found that Ping Fai Yuen's lawsuit is very likely to succeed, noting that the recording content is conclusive and that the case is urgent given Bitcoin price volatility. Fun Yung Li was arrested in 2023, subsequently released, and has exercised her right to remain silent throughout the litigation.
