I have a friend who absolutely adores his wife, and his wife absolutely loves gold.

So whenever holidays came around, he would buy his wife gold as gifts. Small gold beans, small gold coins, small jewelry pieces—nothing expensive individually, but it adds up over time. Back then, gold prices were just 200-something, 300, 400... Later when prices went up, he stopped buying.

Then last year, the couple opened a restaurant and lost over 300,000. They really couldn't pay back the debt. The husband works during the day and does side gigs like being a designated driver at night... but still can't cover it.

At this point, with gold prices soaring, the wife quietly sold all her gold jewelry (including the traditional three-piece set for brides) without saying anything. She sold it for 290,000 and used it all to pay off the debt. She just said one thing: "Let others have a good year, and we'll have a good year too."

A man who loves his wife... his wife is a treasure.

The husband said he never imagined that gold could accumulate to several hundred grams... that it could sell for tens of thousands of dollars...
