Standard Chartered AI Chief Reportedly Resigns After Less Than 1 Year in Office

Bloomberg reports that Standard Chartered Group (02888) Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) Director David Hardoon left the position less than a year after taking office.

David Hardoon joined Standard Chartered’s AI division in April last year and is based in Singapore. He aims to drive innovation and maintain the group’s competitive edge in the industry through analysis and AI technology, reporting to the group’s Chief Data Officer Mohammed Rahim.

The report states that David Hardoon is currently on leave.

David Hardoon has over 20 years of experience in data and AI, involving government, academia, and banking sectors. He previously served as the first Chief Data Officer of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
