NetEase has started laying off outsourced staff.

Back in school, when I didn't do well, my family would say go to a vocational college and study computer science, then you'll become a white-collar worker with high pay later.

Don't go into sales work, it's exhausting and you won't make much money anyway.

Now with AI development, is anyone still saying go to vocational college for computer science?

What will be hardest to shake in the future is BD (business development). It requires person-to-person communication, which AI can't easily replace.

It's also the profession where ordinary people have the best chance to make serious money.
