According to CoinWorld, based on monitoring by 1M AI News, Anthropic has launched a new feature called Dispatch (Research Preview) in the Claude desktop Cowork mode. Felix Rieseberg, head of the Claude Cowork project, announced this feature on X. The core logic of Dispatch is to keep the Claude desktop app running on Mac, allowing users to send commands via the mobile Claude app. Claude executes tasks in a sandbox environment on the computer, with files stored locally. Each step requires user confirmation before execution. This feature is similar to the previous Claude Code Remote Control but offers a graphical environment for Cowork. Users can send commands via their phone when away and review completed work upon return. To set it up, users scan a QR code in the Mac Claude app to pair with their phone. Dispatch is currently only available to Max subscription users, with Pro users gaining access within a few days. MacStories’ hands-on testing shows that the feature is currently slow, with about a 50% success rate for tasks. It performs well in file searches and calling Connectors, but sending iMessages and opening apps are not yet available.
