BREAKING: Japan tightens its crypto law, increasing penalties to up to 10 years in prison.


The country seeks to curb illegal operations and bring digital assets in line with traditional financial markets following a scandal that rocked the sector.
Japan Financial Services Agency (FSA) is pushing for a reform of financial legislation that would raise the maximum prison sentence from three to ten years for those who trade digital assets without authorization.
