U.S. President Trump stated that due to his need to stay in the country to handle the Iran conflict, his visit to China will be postponed, and it is expected to take place in about five to six weeks.

Emphasizing the very good working relationship between the U.S. and China

The White House previously announced that Trump would visit China from the 31st of this month to the 2nd of next month. However, Trump said on Monday that, in response to the Iran conflict, he has requested to delay the trip by about a month, indicating that the Iran war has disrupted the White House’s diplomatic agenda.

On Tuesday, Trump told reporters at the White House that he looks forward to meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, believing that both sides want to meet him. The schedule is being rearranged, and Beijing has no objections, emphasizing that the U.S. and China have a very good working relationship.

In Beijing, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously reiterated that China and the U.S. are maintaining communication regarding the timing of Trump’s visit to China.
