Lobster is really expensive.

Security Risks and Fund Losses: Multiple sources have reported security risks associated with OpenClaw, especially the risk of financial loss. The China Internet Finance Association issued a risk warning, pointing out that OpenClaw’s default high system permissions and weak security configurations are easily exploited by attackers, becoming a breach point for stealing sensitive data or illegally manipulating transactions. There have been cases where users’ funds were stolen due to linked wallets or payment information.

Fraud Cases: Reports indicate that OpenClaw has been used for scams, such as someone pretending to be in distress to trick AI Lobster into transferring funds. Additionally, some users have had their Alipay balances transferred out after installing third-party services that contained Trojan backdoors.

High Usage Costs: Besides security risks, using OpenClaw can also incur high Token fees. Some users reported spending 83 yuan per week on “raising lobsters,” and others received overdue notices after continuous operation of the AI agent overnight. Token consumption is the main cost, and complex tasks can cause expenses to skyrocket. —— The recent lobster craze reminds me of some history. I recall the bot check-in and daily task tools used in gaming years ago—nothing much different in essence, and those could even run offline… Now, this stuff is openly allowed?
Back then, most detections resulted in account bans.
