According to the Israel Times, the outlet's military correspondent Emanuel Fabian recently received death threats from multiple Polymarket participants demanding he falsify reporting about Iran's missile attack on Israel on March 10. It is reported that the prediction pool on Polymarket regarding "whether Iran attacked Israel on the specified date" attracted over $14 million in bets. Since the rules specified that intercepted missiles do not count as (Yes), bettors who wagered (No) demanded the journalist change "missiles hit open ground" in the report to "intercepted debris." One bettor claimed the original report caused them a loss of $900,000. Polymarket officials strongly condemned the incident and announced that they have banned all accounts involved and will transfer relevant information to law enforcement for handling.
