$AAVE Gate News reports that on March 16th, Aave released an incident report regarding "aEthAAVE swap loss users." The report indicates that the primary cause of this incident was a user routing a large transaction to a market with poor liquidity, which resulted in extreme price impact. The Swap button remained grayed out and unavailable until the user confirmed acceptance of the transaction terms (including the risk of facing a 100% value loss). Internal audit records confirm that the user had enabled Cookie functionality on their mobile device and manually confirmed the strong warning by clicking the checkbox. This particular transaction generated $110,368 in transaction fees, which will be held in escrow and returned to the user upon contacting the team and completing the verification process. Based on feedback from this incident, the official team will introduce a new feature called Aave Shield in the Swap component. By default, Aave Shield will automatically block any transactions with price impact exceeding 25%. To conduct high-risk transactions, users must manually enter the "Settings" menu and actively disable Aave Shield protection.
