How much money is actually in the world? The numbers might surprise you! 💰

Estimates indicate around $37 trillion in cash and bank deposits. This is money we can see, spend, or keep in an account. But if we broaden our perspective and add investments, derivatives, and the growing cryptocurrency sector, the total value reaches an astounding $1.2 quadrillion.

It's worth knowing that physical currencies (coins and banknotes) represent only about $6.6 trillion of that sum. The rest consists of bank deposits, securities, and liquid assets dispersed throughout the world. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are occupying an increasingly larger share of this global monetary landscape.

Interestingly, when we sum up how much money is in the world, most of us have our fraction of this enormous pie. It's thought-provoking to consider how much our share influences the global economy, isn't it? 🤔
