Muttaqibaev secretly sent to Moscow for leg surgery

Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has not been seen publicly, leading to widespread rumors about his whereabouts. According to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida, after Mojtaba was injured in the airstrike on February 28, he was urgently flown to Moscow for leg surgery, all arranged personally by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The report cites a high-ranking source close to Iran’s new Supreme Leader. Mojtaba’s evacuation from Iran was kept highly secret, using a Russian military aircraft, and he underwent surgery at Putin’s presidential residence, which was successful.

Additionally, the British The Sun claims to have obtained a secret message forwarded by a source. The message was originally sent to an exiled dissident in London and states that one or both of Mojtaba’s legs have been amputated, and his liver or stomach may also be ruptured, leaving him in a coma. In other words, Mojtaba may be completely unaware of the ongoing conflict and his new role as Iran’s leader.
