People’s Financial News, March 13 — According to the Ministry of Public Security, recently, the Environmental Resources and Food, Drugs, and Crime Investigation Bureau of the Ministry has deployed strict enforcement actions to combat illegal manufacturing, sale, and use of banned or restricted pesticides. The bureau requires public security authorities across regions to target agricultural input production and storage activities during spring planting season, cracking down on all pesticide-related crimes to ensure agricultural safety and strengthen the food safety chain from “farm to table.” The Ministry’s Food, Drugs, and Crime Investigation Bureau has mandated strict enforcement against illegal use, overuse, tampering with production dates, falsifying packaging labels, and illegal business activities involving banned or restricted pesticides. They will coordinate with agricultural and rural departments to conduct joint law enforcement, focusing on key locations, points, and links in pesticide production, sales, and use to investigate criminal clues. The effort will follow a comprehensive chain approach, thoroughly investigating the entire “production, sale, and use” chain. (Xinhua News Agency)
