Notice on the Unqualified Food Samples in 18 Batches (2026 Issue No. 13)

According to the sampling plan, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration organized testing of 1,372 samples across seven categories: meat products, roasted snacks and nuts, pastries, frozen foods, catering foods, edible agricultural products, and edible oils, fats, and their products. Based on food safety standards, 1,354 samples passed inspection, while 18 samples failed (see attachment). The issues detected include microbial contamination, heavy metals and pollutants, excessive or unauthorized use of food additives, and other indicators. In accordance with the “Food Safety Sampling Inspection Management Measures” and related regulations, the results of supervision and sampling are now publicly disclosed. The details are as follows.

  1. Microbial Contamination Issues

(1) Zhuhai Doumen District Bai Teng Youpin Hui Snack Shop (individual business) sold Jinlian Beans (Spicy Flavor) produced by Lifeng Food Co., Ltd., Changle District, Fuzhou City, which did not meet national food safety standards for coliform bacteria.

(2) Guangzhou Baiyun District Jianggao Yuliang Noodle Shop sold Daokou Roast Chicken [marinated meat product (homemade)], which exceeded the total bacterial count limits set by Guangdong local food safety standards.

(3) Dongguan Machong Junkai Catering (individual business) sold White Cut Chicken, which did not meet Guangdong local food safety standards for Escherichia coli.

(4) Jiangmen Pengjiang District Ditou Road Lufa Dumpling Restaurant sold boiled noodles and cold potato strips, which did not meet Guangdong local food safety standards for total bacterial count.

(5) Guangzhou Baiyun District Tangjing Jinyu Noodle House used noodle bowls that did not meet national food safety standards for coliform bacteria.

  1. Heavy Metals and Pollutants

(1) Shaoguan Zhongwang Sheng Trading Co., Ltd. sold Walnut Oil labeled as produced by Linfen Gushu Walnut Food Co., Ltd., which contained benzo[a]pyrene exceeding national standards.

(2) Huizhou Huicheng District Jinyun Vegetable Store sold romaine lettuce that contained cadmium (Cd) above the national safety standards.

(3) Liwan District Dodo Delivery Convenience Store sold local ginger with lead (Pb) levels exceeding national standards.

  1. Excessive or Unauthorized Use of Food Additives

(1) Chaozhou Xiangqiao District Huaze Food Store sold “Crispy Meat Floss (Seaweed Flavor)” labeled as produced by Guangdong Huitai Food Co., Ltd., which contained sorbic acid and its potassium salt (as sorbic acid) not compliant with label requirements.

(2) Panyu District Dalong Heyi Ming Grocery Store sold Cantonese-style cured sausage (raw dried sausage) labeled as produced by Zhongshan Zhishan Meat Products Co., Ltd., which contained nitrite (as sodium nitrite) exceeding standards.

(3) Me Tuan Takeaway (Xinfukang Market Store) operated by Shenzhen Huizai Agricultural Products Distribution Co., Ltd. sold olives containing trichlorosucrose, which did not meet national standards.

(4) Caidaquan Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Supermarket (Qingyuan Store), operated by Qingyuan Qingcheng District You’ermei Department Store (individual business), sold olives with trichlorosucrose exceeding standards.

  1. Other Indicator Issues

(1) Bor County Yuanzhou Town Anrong Grocery Wholesale Department sold crispy green peas produced by Guangdong Kuqi Food Co., Ltd., which had peroxide value (fat basis) exceeding standards.

(2) Xinyi Juxi Long Supermarket sold crispy pastry called “Xiang Chui Su Jiao Zi” produced by Leizhou Lidaoyuan Food Co., Ltd., which had acid value (fat basis, KOH) exceeding standards.

(3) Dongming Co., Ltd. Guangkelong Longhu Store sold “Lao Po Bing” (Peanut Flavor) produced by Dongguan Hongyunlai Food Co., Ltd., with peroxide value exceeding standards.

(4) Jinsha Rongsheng Restaurant (individual business) in Baiyun District Guangzhou used soup bowls that contained anionic synthetic detergents (measured as dodecylbenzenesulfonate), which did not meet standards.

(5) Renhe Hongchuan Food Shop (individual business) in Baiyun District Guangzhou used dinner plates containing anionic synthetic detergents, which did not meet standards.

The Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration has required local market supervision departments to promptly investigate and handle the unqualified foods and their producers or operators, verify product flow, take measures such as removal from shelves and recalls, analyze causes, and implement corrective actions. Additionally, relevant information has been recorded in the food safety credit files of the producers and operators, and published on the regulatory authority’s website as required.

Food Safety Reminder: Consumers should purchase foods through正规可靠渠道 and retain purchase receipts. Check labels on packaging, including production date, shelf life, producer’s name and address, ingredients or composition, and food production license number, to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Do not buy products without factory name, address, production date, or expiration date; do not buy expired products; do not purchase products that have failed supervision and inspection. We encourage consumers to actively participate in food safety supervision and pay attention to the announced inspection results.
