⚠️Signs of a third world war? Why should Ukraine help Israel?

Iranian Official: Ukraine May Become a "Legitimate Strike Target," Risk of Middle East Conflict Spillover Intensifies
On March 15, the chairman of Iran's parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy stated that given Ukraine's provision of military-related assistance to Israel, Ukraine has been viewed as a "legitimate strike target" for Iran.
He expressed on social media that Ukraine's provision of support and technical assistance related to drones to Israel means Ukraine has effectively become involved in the current Middle East conflict, and therefore targets within its territory are considered legitimate for military strikes from Iran's perspective.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has recently made multiple public statements expressing willingness to help relevant countries intercept Iranian drones. According to previous reporting by Reuters, Ukraine has already dispatched anti-drone technology experts to the Middle East region and plans to launch operations within the coming days.
✨Why would Ukraine help Israel?
From a geopolitical logic perspective, Ukraine's support for Israel stems primarily from three reasons:
First, aligned strategic interests.
Ukraine has long accused Iran of providing "Shahed series drones" to Russia, which have been extensively used in the Russia-Ukraine war. Therefore, from Ukraine's perspective, striking Iranian drone technology is itself part of weakening Russian military capabilities.
Second, seeking Western support.
Israel is one of America's most important allies in the Middle East. Ukraine is highly dependent on U.S. and European aid during the war. Providing technical support to Israel helps further strengthen Ukraine's strategic alignment with the Western bloc.
Third, technology and military cooperation exchange.
Israel leads globally in counter-drone and missile defense systems (such as the Iron Dome). Ukraine hopes to gain more air defense and counter-drone technology support by assisting Israel.
Three major impacts if Iran strikes Ukraine:
If Iran truly includes Ukraine in its strike scope, this would signal further spillover of the conflict and could bring impacts in three areas:
1️⃣ Expanded geographic scope of conflict
Currently, the Russia-Ukraine war and Middle East conflict are two separate battlefields. Once Iran directly targets Ukraine, it signals the two major battlefields beginning to intersect.
2️⃣ Escalation of drone warfare
Both Iran and Ukraine possess extensive combat experience in the drone field. If the two sides directly confront each other, a new round of escalation in global drone tactics could emerge.
3️⃣ Energy and financial market volatility
Iran is a major global oil exporter. Each escalation in the Middle East situation could potentially push up crude oil prices and safe-haven assets (gold, U.S. dollar). If the conflict further expands, global financial markets could experience new volatility.
Iran's positioning of Ukraine as a "potential strike target" indicates that the current Middle East conflict is introducing new geopolitical variables.
If Ukraine continues deep involvement in Middle East affairs in the counter-drone field, the boundary between the Russia-Ukraine war and Middle East conflict could further blur, and the global security landscape may enter an increasingly complex phase.
