Apple Inc. announces reduction in commission rate for China App Store

People’s Financial News, March 13 — Today (13th), Apple announced a reduction in commission rates, as follows: In communication with Chinese regulatory authorities, Apple will make adjustments to the App Store in China. Starting March 15, 2026, the commission rates for the Chinese mainland (mainland China) App Store for iOS and iPadOS will be adjusted. The standard commission rate for in-app purchases and paid apps on the Apple App Store will be reduced from the current 30% to 25%. The commission rates for in-app purchases under the App Store Small Business Program and Mini Apps Partner Program, as well as the commission rate for auto-renewing subscriptions after the first year that meet the criteria, will be reduced from the current 15% to 12%. From March 15 onward, developers will automatically enjoy these adjusted rates without needing to sign new terms beforehand. (CCTV News)
