Uber and Joby Aviation to Launch Electric Air Taxi Service

Uber users will be able to book Joby Aviation’s all-electric air taxi directly through the Uber app, with the first passengers expected to arrive in Dubai later this year. Joby’s all-electric air taxi is designed to carry up to four passengers. The aircraft uses six tilt-rotor propellers for vertical takeoff and landing, then transitions to forward flight, reaching a top speed of 200 miles per hour (about 320 kilometers per hour).
