According to a tweet from "Federal Reserve mouthpiece" Nick Timiraos: Carter's nomination of Miller to succeed Burns in 1977-78 was relatively late, and a second round of hearings was held by the Senate Banking Committee due to issues with Textron's dealings with Iran, further delaying the confirmation process. Wash's nomination was announced slightly earlier than usual, so the delay in document submission did not have a substantial impact on him. However, if hearings are not scheduled by March, the timeline will be compressed due to the Senate's recess in the first two weeks of April.
