Construction Bank: President Zhang Yi also serves as Chief Compliance Officer
On February 27, China Construction Bank announced that its Board of Directors approved the appointment of President Zhang Yi as the bank’s Chief Compliance Officer. According to regulations, Zhang Yi’s appointment as Chief Compliance Officer takes effect immediately upon approval by the Board. Zhang Yi will serve as the bank’s Chief Compliance Officer starting February 27, 2026.
Zhang Yi has been serving as Vice Chairman of China Construction Bank since July 2024, Executive Director since June 2024, and President since May 2024. He has also been Chairman of China-Germany Housing Savings Bank since January 2025. From March 2023 to May 2024, Zhang Yi was Vice President of Bank of China, and from April to May 2024, he served as an Executive Director of Bank of China. He was Vice President of Agricultural Bank of China from November 2021 to March 2023, and Chief Financial Officer of China Construction Bank from April to September 2021. Previously, Zhang Yi held positions including Deputy General Manager of the Asset and Liability Management Department at China Construction Bank, Vice President and President of Jiangsu Branch, and General Manager of the Financial Accounting Department. He is a senior accountant, graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in 1993, and earned an MBA from Renmin University of China in 2002.
