【U.S. SEC and CFTC Advance Regulatory Frameworks for Crypto Assets and Prediction Markets】



According to Bloomberg, the major financial regulatory agencies in the United States are pushing forward regulatory measures for the crypto industry and prediction markets. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has submitted a committee-level guidance document to the White House regarding "the applicability of the Federal Securities Laws to certain types of crypto assets and related transactions," and may establish a token classification system to clarify which crypto assets fall under securities regulation and which are overseen by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Meanwhile, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission has also submitted regulatory measures concerning prediction markets to the White House, planning to study new industry rules through a pre-notification process for proposed rulemaking.
