Pertamina, Halliburton to assess new drilling technology in Indonesia

Pertamina and Halliburton have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to evaluate new well construction and stimulation technologies for Indonesia, including multi-stage hydraulic fracturing, acid stimulation, and advanced cementing services. The partnership also aims to apply automation and AI to improve drilling and fracturing processes in selected onshore fields. This initiative supports Pertamina’s goal of enhancing national energy production by revitalizing mature fields with advanced technology, while Halliburton continues to expand its global efforts in energy innovation and efficiency.
