The fall of Iran: what does it mean for you? The fall of Iran: what does it mean for you?
Celebrating Lantern Festival today, we're not discussing market trends. Instead, let's talk about the US-Iran war. Many brothers say, "What does a US-Iran war have to do with a guy like me earning three thousand a month?"
Brother, you might be surprised to hear it actually has something to do with you. I’ll ask just one question: which of these do you do every day—ride an electric scooter to work, take the bus, order takeout, or fill up your gas tank—can you avoid oil?
Earning 3000 a month doesn’t mean you live in a vacuum. International politics may seem distant most of the time, but when it hits home, it can smash ordinary people’s livelihoods.
First, get your facts straight and don’t be misled.
We consume 762 million tons of oil each year, with 546 million tons imported—our external dependence is directly at 70%.
For every 10 barrels of oil, 7 are imported from outside sources.
Among these, the Middle East accounts for 42% of our oil imports.
And the most critical route for Middle Eastern oil heading out is the Strait of Hormuz.
Who controls this passage?
Iran.
This country, among other things, is the most straightforward for ordinary people: it’s genuinely willing to stand up to the big powers, one of the few in the Middle East capable of putting Western forces on the hot seat.
You think the big powers are watching Iran because they dislike it? No, they’re eyeing this strait.
As long as Iran is there, the big powers dare not block the strait, inspect ships at will, or restrict oil shipments.
If Iran falls, then the entire Middle East, the big powers will have no rivals.
At that point, the situation changes:
The Strait of Hormuz would become a “private toll booth” for the US and Israel.
Have you ever thought about what that means? Paying tolls, undergoing inspections, reading the room, obeying orders.
Our many oil tankers pass through there every day. If they’re detained for months under the guise of “security checks,” the consequences are obvious.
What happens if oil supplies are cut off?
Factories shut down, logistics halt, traffic stops, prices skyrocket.
Trucks can’t run, deliveries stop, vegetable prices rise, meat prices rise, and oil prices shoot through the roof.
With a monthly salary of 3000, which is already tight, it would become difficult to maintain a normal life.
Some say, “We’ve already made arrangements, haven’t we?”
That’s right. Over the past twenty years, the East has been desperately reshaping the global landscape.
Dependence on Middle Eastern oil has decreased from 50% to 42%;
Shipping routes have reduced reliance from 100% to 90%, with Russia, South America, and Central Asia supplying oil sources;
The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and land pipelines have been built or repaired.
But, as idealistic as it sounds, reality is harsh:
Russia is caught in its own war; when it comes to critical moments, raising prices is the easy part—what about the conditions they set? Will you accept or not?
South America has become a playground for the big powers; the Panama Canal is in their hands. If they turn hostile, they might not even supply a drop of oil.
Some brothers might say, “Don’t we have land pipelines?”
Haha, brother, first, the capacity is limited, the routes are too long, and just a few stealth aircraft can cut off supply—there’s no time to react.
In essence: Iran is a firewall for our energy security.
It’s not just fighting for itself; it’s helping the entire Middle East and us, defending a bottom line that can’t be easily manipulated.
This isn’t some grand narrative; it’s the most basic survival logic. Iran cannot lose, and it can’t afford to lose.
If Iran falls, it’s not just a tragedy for one country. It would rewrite the global order, choke our energy lifeline, and increase the living costs, reduce job opportunities, and shrink our living space—everything is at stake.
Earning 3000 a month, you must understand this. Great power struggles are never distant news.
They determine whether you can afford oil, whether you can eat vegetables, whether you have a stable job—don’t think it’s none of your business or just watch from afar!
Today, you watch the excitement; tomorrow, the cost could fall on you.
Alright, I’ll have a couple of drinks today, and tomorrow I’ll bring you the market updates. Wishing everyone a peaceful Lantern Festival!#美国撤离中东公民 #X移除加密禁令 #贵金原油价格飙升 #伊朗证实哈梅内伊已死 #美伊局势影响
