Amcor Plc, a Swiss-based packaging manufacturer, has reportedly re-entered the Russian market through an intermediary, RotI LLC, after selling its local assets in December 2022. The company is now supplying packaging materials from its production sites in China, Thailand, and the Czech Republic to Russian consumer goods companies. This move could draw scrutiny from European regulators, especially as the EU prepares new sanctions to tighten oversight of circumvention mechanisms.
