Amid the current movements of the Ethereum market, high fluctuations are observed, which could trigger large-scale revaluations of positions on leading CEXs. According to ChainCatcher, the current price dynamics create critical levels for clearing.
If Ethereum drops below $3,100, all long positions on major cryptocurrency exchanges will face liquidation of $427 million. On the other hand, if the price exceeds $3,300, the volume of forced short position closures will reach $885 million.
At the moment, Ethereum is trading at $2,640, which means that, besides traders sensitive to price changes, market participants are closely monitoring the possibility of fluctuations in both directions. Such volatility requires increased risk management attention from market participants.
