When watching the market, I always wonder: how reliable are these candlestick chart analyses?

MA, EMA, MACD, RSI, KDJ, CCI... just the indicators alone are a bunch. Plus, there's golden cross and death cross, divergence at the top and bottom, double top, head and shoulders bottom, as well as volume, triangle consolidations, Fibonacci retracements, wave theory, Wyckoff, and the series of mysterious terms from Chan theory.

To be honest, these tools may look impressive when used, but the question is—do they really have a scientific basis? Or are we collectively playing a psychological game? Is technical analysis truly a powerful tool for trading, or just a glamorous self-deception?

Basically, it's just gambler psychology disguised as science. I've been looking at charts for so many years and haven't had any insights. Technical analysis is like fortune-telling; experts may be right after the fact, but it completely fails at critical moments. Anyway, I just focus on MACD. The more indicators I look at, the more confused I get, right? Wait, have you guys made money using the Chan theory? I always feel like I lose more the more I learn. No matter how many indicators you stack, you can't escape the fate of getting chopped up; the core is still money management. So what if there's a golden cross on the MA? It turns into a death cross the next second. Trusting that is no better than listening to my mom.

Technical analysis is just a game of probabilities, not religion. Don't believe it too blindly. --- Basically, it's a self-comforting tool that makes you feel you're "trading scientifically." --- No matter how many indicators you stack, they're all just rearview mirrors. The ones truly making money are the main players eating the leftovers. --- I just want to know how much those promoting the Chan theory have made, or if they only shout signals in groups. --- MA combined with KDJ and MACD, all lead to losses, really. --- It's just a matter of probability bias. Human brains are naturally inclined to find patterns, and the market relies on this to cut the leeks. --- Golden cross and death cross are played out every day. Ask yourself how many times you've actually won. --- No way it's reliable. I only look at volume-price relationships and candlestick patterns; everything else I delete.

Technical analysis is just collective hallucination; I've seen through it long ago. Honestly, it's all just armchair strategists afterward; golden crosses and death crosses are all based on luck. Charts can be deceptive, but wallets won't be. Do you understand? The more indicators there are, the more confusing the mind becomes. It's better to directly look at on-chain data.

Basically, it's a probability game. People who make money believe everything, while those who lose money think it's all a scam. The technical analysis stuff only works when enough people believe in it; when too many do, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. No matter how many indicators there are, they can't save trading discipline, really. Staring at candlesticks all day is not as good as getting a good sleep and checking the results when you wake up. Chan theory, wave analysis, those are really metaphysics. I've seen people make big money using them, and I've also seen people go bankrupt. It's really a psychological battle—who has a better mindset wins. Technical analysis is just a psychological comforter.
