According to CNBC Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority of Indonesia (OJK) stated that although the trading volume of crypto assets in 2025 decreased year-on-year, the number of investors and tax contributions continued to rise. Data shows that the crypto asset trading volume in Indonesia in 2025 was approximately 482.23 trillion Indonesian Rupiah (about 310–320 billion USD), lower than over 650 trillion Indonesian Rupiah in 2024 (about 410–420 billion USD). By the end of 2025, the number of crypto investors increased to 20.19 million, mainly among the younger demographic. OJK official Hasan Fauzi pointed out that as of November 2025, the total tax revenue from the crypto industry had reached 7,196.1 billion Indonesian Rupiah (about 4.5–4.7 million USD).
