I recently came across an interesting fundraising case. A Web3 project focused on risk management completed a $5.5 million seed round, backed by several well-known investment institutions.

The idea behind this project is quite unique—they are exploring how to connect real-world assets more closely with the DeFi ecosystem. Their approach is to build a "programmable risk layer," which essentially means designing protocols that allow on-chain assets to manage and hedge risks more flexibly.

This direction actually reflects a broader market trend: the increasing convergence of RWA (Real-World Asset On-Chain) and DeFi is becoming a hot topic. Previously, RWA was mostly a one-way input onto the chain; now, these projects are considering two-way interactions—how to enable on-chain and off-chain assets to operate collaboratively within the same risk framework.

Looking at the fundraising lineup, this kind of infrastructure and risk management track is indeed attracting institutional attention. After all, as the crypto market grows, the importance of risk management becomes increasingly critical. If this "programmable risk layer" can be successfully implemented, it could significantly contribute to the maturity of the entire DeFi ecosystem.

5.5 million USD seed round, this track is really heating up To be honest, the RWA sector has been hyped up for a while, and now someone is finally exploring two-way interaction, but whether it can really be implemented remains to be seen The programmable risk layer sounds quite high-end, but I'm still a bit confused about how it actually works... I need to check the white paper Institutions are flocking to invest, it always feels like another wave of rug pulls is coming DeFi needs risk management, no doubt, but infrastructure projects like these are usually hard to get off the ground, the cycle is too long Could this wave of RWA financing also be the next trap for getting caught? Compared to last year's ecosystem financing boom, it seems like everyone is more cautious now. The ability to attract 5.5 million with risk management is indeed interesting It feels like it's time for a sub-sector to grab attention again. What will the next one be?

$5.5 million seed round? Hopefully not just another fundraising sprint, haha. Programmable risk layers sound impressive, but the key is how they are actually implemented. The RWA approach with its bidirectional interaction sounds good in theory, but will it just be a castle in the air when put into practice? Risk management is indeed important, but coordinating on-chain and off-chain processes isn't that simple.

The programmable risk layer sounds good, but how many can actually be used? It still depends on the implementation.

5.5 million USD, this risk management approach does have some substance. The logic of on-chain and off-chain two-way interaction sounds great, but I'm worried it might just be PPT fundraising again. Real though, for DeFi to mature, it still depends on laying a solid foundation of risk control infrastructure; otherwise, a blow-up is only a matter of time. Institutions rushing into this track indicate that they also see the issues. The ones who can truly implement it will be the winners. Now it's just a matter of who can figure out the programmable risk layer.

Interesting, another project that uses risk management as a story—can $5.5 million really make institutions willing? Data shows that less than 30% of the previous batch of such "infrastructure" projects are still alive after two years. Ironically, they all used the same rhetoric during fundraising. I'm not joking; I've heard the RWA two-way interaction logic back in 2018—just repackaged with a different name.

5.5 million USD for risk management, this direction is really stable --- Programmable risk layer sounds pretty vague, but RWA definitely needs someone to pave the way --- Another DeFi infrastructure, can it really be implemented --- I believe in two-way interaction; only with a unified risk framework can we innovate --- Honestly, not many projects of this type survive in the end. I remain optimistic, but still cautious --- With these institutions participating in the seed round of 5.5 million, at least there’s no need to worry about fundraising in the early stages --- Is the programmable system really that useful on-chain? I have some doubts

Programmable risk layers sound cool, but let's wait until they are implemented. These infrastructure projects are the most likely to end in failure. The idea of bi-directional interaction with RWA is indeed interesting, but I don't know when it will truly solve the liquidity problem. Raising 5.5 million in the seed round is easy; the key is how to survive in a bear market. Infrastructure projects burn money the fastest. Institutions' recent investments are quite insightful; risk management is indeed a lesson that DeFi will have to learn sooner or later. DeFi always tries to benchmark traditional finance, but hedging mechanisms can never match the complexity of the derivatives market. If not careful, it might become the biggest risk itself. Don't just look at fundraising; see how many active users remain after six months. If these projects can truly unify the risk framework for RWA and on-chain assets, honestly, it has a bit of a disruptive flavor.
