Oracle service provider RedStone acquires RWA data platform to accelerate the tokenization of real-world assets

【Blockchain Rhythm】 Oracle service provider RedStone has recently made a big move—acquiring digital asset data platform STM and its flagship conference TokenizeThis. The goal of this acquisition is clear: to promote the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) and to strengthen its position in the US and institutional markets.

STM is a platform not to be underestimated. Founded in 2018, it maintains the world’s largest database of tokenized RWAs. Digitally, the platform has tracked over 800 on-chain asset projects—covering stocks, real estate, debt instruments, and various funds, with a total market value exceeding $60 billion.

The annual conference TokenizeThis is even more interesting. This event gathers banks, asset management firms, regulators, asset issuers, and blockchain industry leaders every year to discuss the same topic: how to tokenize assets in traditional finance and decentralized finance ecosystems. Such a platform and conference are an excellent springboard for RedStone to expand its influence and connect with the institutional market.

RedStone's recent merger is quite impressive; the RWA track is becoming more competitive. 600 billion market cap is really impressive, but whether these data can truly be implemented remains to be seen. If TokenizeThis is well integrated, the threshold for institutional entry will indeed be much lower. Oracles + RWA data, I am optimistic about this combination. It seems like RedStone is all in on real-world asset tokenization, which has a bit of a gambling vibe. 800 projects sound like a lot, but how many are truly active? I've been thinking about this for a long time.

RedStone's move is quite steady, directly acquiring STM's database and the network of TokenizeThis—a perfect combination of two birds with one stone. 800 projects, a market cap of 60 billion, this database is indeed valuable, but how many can actually be utilized? Currently, everyone is scrambling for RWA territory. RedStone is probably laying the groundwork for institutionalization. The core is actually TokenizeThis's conference resources—the dining table of banks, regulators, and blockchain. How much money would it take to pull this off? It still depends on how the subsequent integration goes. Having a database is one thing, but whether it can truly empower RWA is the real highlight. Having data alone isn't enough; it also depends on whether they can persuade traditional industry leaders to truly go on-chain. This is preparing for the formal RWA army—trends are very clear.

RedStone's move was quite ruthless, directly taking down STM, and the RWA pool with a market cap of 60 billion was just integrated like that. The meeting with TokenizeThis is probably the key, with banks and on-chain giants sitting together—this is a signal of traditional finance compromising to Web3. 800 on-chain asset projects sound like a lot, but how many have actually launched? The direction of RWA tokenization is correct, but I'm just worried it might become another tool for hype. RedStone's ambitions in the institutional market are a bit too big—are they trying to take over Chainlink's territory? By the way, is STM's database reliable? Could it be another digital game?
