The true portrait of crypto investors: they verbally promote the mantra of "holding long-term," but in reality, the sell buttons on their trading panels have long been worn out from overuse.
This reflects human nature in market volatility—when prices fall, the belief in "holding steadfast" instantly collapses. When the market is good, everyone is a value investor; but as soon as the coin price drops, fingers automatically press that familiar sell button.
To become a winner in the crypto market, the key is not to master a certain trading skill, but to ask yourself: can you truly stick to your strategy in panic?
The reason many people ultimately fail is not a lack of opportunities, but a lack of restraint.

Yeah, that's right. It hits too close to home. I'm the kind of person who HODLs on the surface but feels anxious inside...
The sell button is worn down and shiny, haha, I just can't stop myself.
It's really a mental barrier. If you haven't overcome it, then you haven't. Skills and tricks are all superficial.
It's easy to say to be disciplined, but actually doing it is really hard. When the coin drops, my mind short-circuits.
I swear every time that next time I'll stick to it, and then... I fall again.

Whenever the market drops, I start to shake. What happened to the promise of holding long-term? Why did I sell out?

That hits too close to home. I'm the one whose sell button got smashed, haha.
If you can't hold, you just can't hold, no matter how much you talk about it.
The key is mental preparation. This thing is really much more difficult than technical skills.

Xiongxiong just looked at my trading records and statistically found that I am the living case study of this article, boohoo
---
That’s too heartbreaking. My sell button wear index has already exceeded the normal distribution
---
Dollar-cost averaging (DCA) really saves lives. The day I stop manual operation is the day I live the longest
---
Self-control? Can you eat that? Why does my investment portfolio have no such asset allocation
---
Data speaks. In the past three months, Xiongxiong’s actual holding time median is only 2.3 hours. Talking about value investing?
---
When the panic index soars, my hand is no longer my own. I bet fifty cents that everyone here has tried it
