Trust Wallet Browser Extension v2.68 Vulnerability Compensation Progress: First batch completed, new asset migration feature added

Abstract generation in progress

【Blockchain Movement】On January 15, there was a new development regarding the security vulnerability incident in Trust Wallet browser extension v2.68. The official statement indicates that the compensation for the first batch of eligible users has been completed, and the remaining claims are currently under batch review and processing.

Important reminder: Wallets affected by this incident are advised to stop using as soon as possible. Whether on the browser extension or mobile version, if you are still using these affected wallets, the first step is to update the application to the latest version, then immediately transfer funds to a new wallet, and completely abandon the old, compromised wallet.

To facilitate user operations, Trust Wallet has added a “Migrate Assets” feature. Through this feature, users can securely transfer funds from wallets affected by the v2.68 security incident to a secure wallet. If you haven’t performed this operation yet, you can now use this feature to complete the asset transfer.

The compensation progress is good, but I just want to know how this vulnerability actually occurred. Waiting so long for the migration feature, why wasn't it thought of earlier? I've been using Trust for so long and didn't feel any issues, but now suddenly saying to abandon it, I'm a bit anxious. Let's just complete the first batch of compensation, but I have little confidence in how to ensure security afterward. I heard some people haven't received their compensation? How slow is this review process?

The compensation progress is good, but brothers, don't get complacent. Hurry up and migrate your assets. Trust has had issues again. Did they learn their lesson this time? The new features are indeed convenient, but I'm worried some people are still dragging their feet. Has the first batch of compensation been completed? When will mine arrive? Hopefully not another endless wait. Honestly, I’m a bit impressed. At least they provided a migration tool, which is much better than some projects just disappearing without a trace. Brothers still using old wallets, wake up! Don't regret it after your funds are gone. Act now. The migration feature is good, but has the root problem really been solved? It feels like a superficial fix rather than a real solution. The compensation is coming in batches, and there are really a lot of people. I just want to know what the standards are.

The first batch of compensation has been completed, the rest are still in line, such efficiency... Completing the first batch of compensation doesn't mean it's over, what about the ones after? Oh my, manual migration is still required, so troublesome Trust Wallet really got messed up this time, who would still dare to use it The asset migration feature sounds good, but I still feel a bit worried I abandoned it a long time ago, and now it seems I made the right decision First batch of compensation? Why didn't I see my order? This incident has completely shattered my confidence in wallet security So old wallets really can't be used anymore, got it Such slow compensation processing, will anyone continue to use Trust? The migration feature is quite considerate, but only if people still dare to use it

Compensation finally started moving, but we still have to wait... Hurry up and migrate assets, don't procrastinate. Damn, this vulnerability is too serious, just thinking about it is frightening. Is the migration feature out? Then just use this, much more convenient than manual transfers. Who is still using the old wallet? Hurry up and abandon it, brother. First batch of compensation completed? Why haven't I received mine yet, is it real? This time, Trust Wallet has learned its lesson, at least the remedial measures are in place. Asset security really can't be taken lightly, if it needs to be fixed, just do it. By the way, how did this v2.68 vulnerability get exposed? Why didn't we notice it before? The migration feature is good, but it's troublesome... but it's worth it for security. Another queue for compensation, Web3 is like this, always dealing with last time's incident.

Oh no, the compensation has finally been made, but this v2.68 is really outrageous, it should have been fixed a long time ago. Hurry up and migrate, everyone, don’t wait any longer. Once again, Trust Wallet had a major screw-up this time. The first batch is completed, so why haven't I received mine yet? The new features are indeed convenient, no need to transfer manually anymore. If the vulnerability hadn’t been proactively disclosed by the official, it might have been kept hidden. Have you finished updating, everyone? Don’t delay any longer. The loss is a loss, but at least there is compensation, which is better than some projects. Does everyone have a new wallet? Haha, it’s time to get started. Version v2.68 is completely useless now, we need to reflect seriously. The asset migration feature isn’t really a remedy; those who deserve compensation should get it in full.

It's another case of an experienced user, and this time it's really not an alarmist warning. Hurry up and migrate, don't gamble anymore. --- I had a crash here back in 2018, a bloody lesson for everyone. --- Still daring to keep your wallet after it was tampered with? Isn't that because you have too much money? Haha. --- Remember to run after updating, or who will be to blame next time there's a crash? --- Brothers, listen to me. The asset migration feature is reliable this time. Don't wait in line for the second round of compensation. --- Another wave of retail investors is about to pay tuition fees. The familiar feeling is back. --- I was procrastinating and didn't migrate back then. Now I'm still waiting for compensation, haha. --- Wallets can have such issues; this circle really needs to be more cautious. --- Those who don't act will continue to lose. I'm serious. --- Looking at this, I feel like I'm back in 2018. --- Hurry up and use the migration feature to transfer, don't be the last one to take the hit. --- Honestly, I wish I had seen this news five minutes earlier.

Compensation is in progress, but this wave is really quite frightening. Hurry up and migrate out, don't wait any longer. --- Another wallet vulnerability. Who can still trust in this day and age? --- The first batch has been compensated? Then which batch am I in? I'm feeling a bit anxious. --- The asset migration feature is indeed convenient, but it feels like it should have been released earlier. --- Take advantage of the fact that it hasn't been emptied yet, and quickly move your assets with the new feature. --- Why is Trust Wallet like this? It was working well before. --- Compensation is compensation, but the worry is still there in my heart.

The compensation is so slow, my account still hasn't received anything yet. But this migration feature is indeed convenient, much better than manually transferring one by one. Really? Can Trust Wallet still be used? I’ve already switched to other wallets. Version v2.68 scared me to death at the time; I quickly withdrew all my coins. After waiting so long, there's finally some progress, but when will the subsequent compensation happen? This time has really shaken my confidence in Trust Wallet. Is the migration feature easy to use, everyone? Has anyone tried it? I've already abandoned it; it's too late to say anything now. The first batch has been completed. So, which batch am I in? Feeling exhausted. I still haven't seen any compensation. Do I have to wait for a notification?

It's finally progress on the compensation this time, but we still have to wait. Hurry up and migrate assets, don't regret it after something happens. It seems this vulnerability caused quite a stir; we need to learn how to self-rescue. Trust Wallet responded quite quickly this time, at least providing a remedial plan. First batch completed? Then I need to check if I'm on the list. It's 2024 and this kind of thing still happens, truly unbelievable. The asset migration feature is pretty good; at least it's less hassle than manually transferring everything. Let's wait and see; compensation always takes the longest. I'm a bit reluctant to abandon the old wallet directly; I need to transfer everything out first. If the compensation isn't adequate this time, it would really be pointless.
