The crypto world has exploded again. Timothy Ronald and Kalimasada have been officially charged, with 3,500 young victims suffering a total loss of over 200 billion. What’s the most difficult to accept? The victims aged 18-27 were initially threatened and dared not report the case.
The underlying scheme is very familiar: fabricating wealth passwords, making empty promises to appease, and finally taking away the principal. We’ve all seen the marketing tactics of "earning millions monthly by following me." And the promises? Not a single one has been fulfilled. The principal was lost first.
The problem is, in such an environment, how can ordinary people participate safely in the crypto space? Many answer by staying away, but some have found another way.
My observation is: **Don’t trust people, trust mechanisms; don’t chase quick riches, pursue compound interest**.
It’s clear when you compare—
**Fraud schemes** vs **Transparent financial tools**:
- Promising you a "wealth password" vs Providing verifiable financial tools
- Requiring blind follow-alongs vs Allowing users to make autonomous decisions
- Opaque yield data vs Fully auditable on-chain data
- Potentially running away at any time vs Smart contracts executing automatically
Take products like Lista DAO as an example. Its logic is to replace "trust" with "code." No one can cheat because everything is on the chain. This is how the crypto space should be.
