#密码资产动态追踪 Korea's "Gangnam Stock God" Lee Hee-jin Faces New Controversy, This Time Over Virtual Asset Scam

Recently, Korean media reported explosive news: Lee Hee-jin, known as the "Gangnam Stock God," has been transferred from Seoul Gangnam Police Station to the Financial Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Department for suspected virtual asset fraud.

The incident originated from a report by the Pica Coin project team. Initially, the case involved a settlement dispute of 1.88 billion KRW, but as the investigation deepened, the total damages were increased to 28 billion KRW (approximately $19.27 million), with the scope of the case continuously expanding.

What is noteworthy is that this is not Lee Hee-jin's first legal trouble. He has previously been convicted of stock manipulation and fraud. After serving his sentence, he turned his attention to the virtual asset sector, participating in the issuance of projects like Pica Coin.

Interestingly, Pica Coin was once listed on Korea's leading trading platform Uppbit, but it was delisted in June 2021 due to suspected fraud—this alone highlights the serious issues with the project.

From stock fraud to cryptocurrency project controversies, Lee Hee-jin's "entrepreneurial history" is essentially a collection of risk cases. What this new case will ultimately reveal remains to be seen as police investigations continue. This also serves as a reminder for investors to conduct thorough due diligence before participating in any virtual asset projects.

280 billion Korean Won, another case of "professional leek" self-cultivation. I have learned

Continuing to cause trouble after being released from prison, this guy really treats scams as a career development path

Uppbit was taken down a long time ago, yet people are still buying in. I have to ask if this is a common death trap for my bottom-fishing funds

This is why I say virtual asset due diligence is more important than looking at K-line charts—bitter lessons learned

Lee Hee-jin's move from stocks to the crypto world perfectly illustrates what "negative alpha king" means. Learned a lot

Adding another 280 billion, how many people have gone all-in and ended up zeroed out... Just thinking about it hurts

Produced by the reverse researcher, it must be a guide to踩坑 (stepping into pits). Remember it

This repeated mistake, switching to virtual assets after being released from prison, really thinks the crypto world is outside the law? A loss of 28 billion won, luckily I’ve long developed the habit of reading contract code, otherwise I would have been cut again.

Bro, this guy is a serial scammer. He just got out of prison and dares to hang around in the virtual asset space. Truly fearless.

280 billion KRW took off directly. This trajectory is way off course, a clear warning of a crash.

Uppbit has been delisted, and people still dare to buy. How much do they trust the reputation of the "Cheongdam-dong Stock God"?

DYOR is really not just a empty phrase. Just look at this guy’s background, it’s a textbook case of being completely wrecked.

Talking about "second entrepreneurship" here, isn’t the first stock scam enough?

He should have gone to the police station earlier. Honestly, their efficiency is quite high.

This case will continue to blow up. 280 billion is just the beginning. I bet five bucks there’s more to come.
