Bulgaria is preparing to launch a new visa program for digital nomads. This program offers an opportunity for professionals who want to work regardless of geographic restrictions.
Eligible applicants for the visa include remote workers for companies outside the EU, the European Economic Area, and Switzerland. Additionally, owners of companies established abroad or individuals holding a 25% or greater stake are also eligible to apply. Finally, freelancers and independent professionals who have provided services to international clients within the past 12 months are deemed suitable for this program.

Another country is copying the digital nomad concept. Bulgaria's move is quite clever... Essentially, they've brought all those earning overseas into the fold, effectively bottoming out their tax base.

Bulgaria's approach is pretty good. Digital nomads now have another place to jump on board. If I had this policy back in the day, I wouldn't have to go through so much trouble.
