In the crypto world, relying solely on trading to turn 20,000 into 1,000,000 is not enough—frankly, the whole process follows certain patterns.

Over the years of experience, I've stepped on many pits, lost unjustified money, and had those sleepless nights reviewing strategies. Today, I’ll summarize these painful lessons so you can avoid detours and get straight to the essentials.

**When Capital is Small, Greed is the Greatest Enemy**

When you don’t have much money, the logic is simple: catching a decent trend in a day and steadily taking profits is enough. Don’t expect to harvest all the gains in one day; the market’s profit potential is limited, and you can’t eat from open to close.

Here, I must emphasize a principle: the most testing time is when good news appears. The more the market surges, the more you need to hold your ground. Greed is the biggest killer for small accounts.

**Timing for Exit at the High Point**

If you don’t exit at the high on the same day, the next day often opens higher—this is your top-selling opportunity. You’ll find many market tops are driven by a series of “good news.” Major positive announcements and holidays are times to be especially cautious. When the market direction is uncertain, reduce your position or even go completely to cash and wait. Wait until the situation clarifies before re-entering—never gamble blindly.

**Mid-term and Short-term Positioning Philosophy**

For mid-term trading, keep your position light. This isn’t cowardice but leaves room for maneuver. Gradually rolling the snowball often takes you further than a full-on all-in gamble.

For short-term trading, speed is key. Enter decisively, exit cleanly. When the market turns against you, exit immediately—don’t let greed hold you back. Markets can be fast or slow; learn to follow their rhythm. Trying to fight the market with your subjective will? That’s just asking for trouble.

**The Essence of Stop-Loss**

If your market direction is wrong, you must execute stop-loss without hesitation. Many misunderstand stop-loss; it’s not a sign of failure—it's a matter of survival. Accounts that suffer big losses are invariably those that refuse to cut losses in time.

**Details of Short-term Trading**

When doing short-term trades, small-cycle charts are crucial. Focus on the 15-minute candlestick chart. Indicators are just auxiliary tools; rhythm and discipline are the core. Following this framework will greatly improve your execution.

**Finally—And Most Importantly: Mindset**

Crypto volatility is normal. Once emotions spiral out of control, your operations will distort. Only those who stay calm and survive have the right to talk about making big money. Opportunities in crypto are never lacking; what’s truly scarce are those who can turn opportunities into real gains.

Stay steady, and the first 1,000,000 will eventually come.

honestly the "patience kills greed" angle hits different when you actually watch people panic-market-sell at 3am... narrative arc of every trader's portfolio basically writes itself lol

That's right, greed is really poison. I lost money like this in the early years. Stop-loss is the most heartbreaking, always thinking about getting back the money, but the more you try, the deeper you fall. Honestly, mindset is more valuable than technical skills. I’ve learned this the hard way through many losses. The 15-minute chart is truly amazing, a must-watch for short-term trading, much more reliable than any indicator. Don't gamble aggressively; living longer is the real truth in the crypto world. Trade small positions and roll the snowball; it looks slow but is actually the most stable. That's how I do it now. When good news appears, you should run; I couldn't understand this logic at first, but now I get it completely. It sounds simple, but it takes dozens of failures to truly understand it.

That's right, greed really needs to die. --- Stop-loss should have been ingrained in our instincts long ago. --- Mindset is truly the hardest hurdle; I have too many friends who have died here. --- When the market is moving fast, it's easiest to get carried away. Decisively exiting is easier said than done. --- Small funds should be steady; those who go all-in early are already out. --- When good news appears, it's time to run. I learned this the hard way after stepping into the same trap multiple times. --- The 15-minute chart is indeed useful; it's much more reliable than any indicator. --- I am now using the tactic of clearing out and waiting more and more, or else it's really easy to get caught. --- There are many opportunities, but key is having execution power and discipline—that's where the differentiation lies. --- Turning 20,000 into a million sounds great, but surviving is the first step.

Sounds good, but isn't it just advising people not to be greedy? In reality, most people, including myself, die because of greed.

On-chain data shows that this logic is most likely to fail during contract changes... While analyzing the market late at night, I found that many people's stop-loss settings are problematic, and the issue lies in

That's right, greed is truly a terminal illness. That's how I ended up losing so much.
