The Smarter Web Company, a Web3 technology company listed in London, recently announced a change in the board of directors—officially appointing Martin Thomas as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
It is worth noting that Martin Thomas has extensive experience in corporate governance. Since January 2015, he has been active on the DEC board, participating in several key committees: currently responsible for the Audit and Risk Committee and the Nomination and Governance Committee, and he previously served on the Remuneration Committee. This combination of experience reflects his professional expertise in compliance regulation, risk management, and governance checks and balances.

Another veteran of governance has entered the scene, now compliance will have to tighten up.

Haha, finally someone who understands governance has arrived, otherwise Web3 is really a complete mess.
Martin has been involved in DEC auditing risk since 2015, his experience is solid... but to be honest, no matter how strong the background is, the crypto market still has to go through a lot of turbulence.

Wow, this guy has been in DEC since 2015? Old fox, what a move.

Another "senior governance expert," I'm already tired of hearing this stuff. But to be fair, Martin has been on the DEC board since 2015, and he's really skilled at managing audit risks... Are Web3 projects really so lacking reliable governance now?

The governance team has strengthened. This guy has been involved in DEC since 2015, taking audit risks seriously. Now coming to The Smarter Web, there's a bit of an intention to regulate this circle, right?

Another person with a traditional financial background entering Web3. I've seen this pattern many times.

Another veteran in governance, huh? These folks play by the same rules—compliance, risk, checks and balances... It sounds quite professional, but can Web3 really be tamed?

Another cliché governance narrative. Does Web3 still have to rely on this traditional boardroom approach?

Hmm... with such deep governance experience, it's just that you're afraid of messing up Web3.
