Let's be straight about this.

Taking a $20K+ loss? That stings, but I can live with it if the asset actually deserved to be in my portfolio. I ran the numbers, did my homework, made a calculated call—sometimes the market just doesn't cooperate. That's the game.

But losing money on something that shouldn't have been there in the first place? That's the real pain. No analysis, just hype or FOMO driving the decision. That's what gets to me.

The difference isn't about the dollar amount. It's about the mindset. One loss teaches you something. The other just teaches you how to repeat mistakes.

That's the distinction that matters in trading.

Really, chasing high and getting trapped and stopping loss are completely two different things... one is tuition, and the other is the real IQ tax.

The most frustrating part is losing money on orders I FOMOed into... I can accept losing 20,000 yuan with a reason, but the real issue is those who were purely fooled into entering... This is the root cause of repeatedly falling into the trap.

ngl this hits different when you realize it's just opportunity cost math in disguise... the $20k hurts less than the *thesis validation* you lost by chasing hype instead. that's the real impermanent loss nobody talks about
