The explosion of the privacy track in 2025 prompts a deeper reflection: privacy is evolving from an ideological stance into a genuine business necessity.

It seems that the trend is being driven by market momentum, and privacy technologies like ZK zero-knowledge proofs are indeed becoming mature and usable. But these are not the fundamental reasons. The real driving force is—without privacy measures, many businesses simply cannot operate. In scenarios involving stablecoin transactions, inter-company settlements, employee salary payments, and B2B payments, exposing data on the chain poses too great a risk to participants. Privacy needs have shifted from being an option for "capable individuals" to a mandatory requirement for "participants." This transformation signifies that privacy is no longer a niche topic but a demand at the infrastructure level.

Really, it's not that technology maturity can make something popular; frankly, it's still driven by necessity. If companies can't ensure privacy, they can't do business, and that's the real demand.

The words are correct, but what I care more about is—what exactly is the flow of funds for these privacy projects? As ZK technology matures, has the transfer pattern of large on-chain addresses changed? I also want to see whether those contracts that claim to be private are willing to publicly disclose their own smart contract audit reports.

That's very true. Privacy has shifted from a luxury to a necessity. Without privacy, companies can't go on the blockchain at all. Payrolls can be seen by anyone, so who dares to use it? That's why traditional finance remains the true privacy powerhouse. ZK maturity is just an accelerator; the real driving force is the business reality staring us in the face. Without handling privacy data, companies will be directly doomed. So there's really no choice. The demand at the infrastructure level is spot on, just like HTTPS in the early days of the internet. Those who talked about privacy before were seen as idealists, but now it's an essential for survival. The most critical scenario is enterprise settlements; B2B won't touch chains without privacy protection.

Uh, isn't it just a forced necessity pushed out? Those who used to hype privacy are all anti-establishment believers. Now that companies realize that putting data on the chain means being exposed, they're panicking. I've said it before, the real trend isn't about advanced technology, but about having no way out.
