【ChainNews】The Ethereum network experienced a surge of impressive data by the end of 2025. On December 31st, the 7-day moving average of transaction counts on Ethereum surpassed 1.87 million, the highest level on record. It’s worth noting that this achievement even exceeds the peak performance during the 2021 NFT and DeFi boom — when the record was 1.61 million transactions. Even the recent high point on August 9, 2025, with 1.73 million transactions, was far surpassed by this wave of growth.
Not only did transaction activity reach new heights. The number of active addresses on the Ethereum network also hit a new phase high at the end of the year — 728,904. This is the densest level of activity since May 12, 2021. More notably, there was a surge in new addresses: on December 31st, the number of newly added addresses reached 270,160, a scale never seen since early 2018.
From these data points, it’s clear that the Ethereum network demonstrated strong vitality at the end of the year, with both transaction frequency and participation breaking past previous ceilings.

Wow, this data is really amazing. Three years ago I was still losing money, and now I've finally caught this wave.

1.87 million transactions? That number looks outrageous. Could it be another trick with bots artificially inflating the numbers?

Haha, 1.87 million transactions? How many people are trying to scalp profits? Why didn't I catch up?
Really? 270,000 new addresses? Could it be another airdrop event from a major project?
Wow, these numbers are incredible. Even in 2021, it wasn't this large. What's going on?
Wait, is this surge about to cut some more leeks?
End-of-year rally? I'm just wondering why my wallet hasn't moved.
Breaking records is one thing, but where are the real opportunities, everyone?
With so many new addresses entering, it seems like the chance to buy the dip is coming.

1.87 million transactions, this data is really impressive. But to be honest, the active addresses have surged by 270,160. Is this truly from real users or arbitrage bots sweeping the market? It all depends on the retention rate, brother, otherwise it's just inflated figures.

According to the database, the 1.87 million transaction count has surpassed the previous commitment of 1.73 million for over four months. It has finally been achieved and truly realized. It is recommended to be included in the Guinness World Records.

Wow, 1.87 million transactions? Is this real? It directly breaks the record of that NFT frenzy in 2021... Could there be a new story to tell again?

nah hold up, 270k new addresses in a single day? that's statistically impossible without major wallet clustering happening. traced the patterns and this screams coordinated activity, tbh. rugpull signature written all over it fr

No way, 1.87 million transactions, is that real? This really makes the 2021 bull market look like child's play.
