It's 2026, and various innovative projects are emerging endlessly in the market, but only a few projects truly stand the test of time. New concepts are everywhere, but they often fade away quickly.

On the other hand, those established old DeFi projects have shown a different kind of vitality. Just like a few old friends I’ve been following, why are they still worth holding onto? Because they have endured the market’s tempering, finding a balance between simple design philosophy and practical operation.

Not chasing the hot trends or playing gimmicks, but focusing on building solid infrastructure and user experience—such projects may not be flashy, but they are the most reassuring. In this cycle full of temptations, sometimes sticking to your principles is the smartest choice. Protocols that have gone through a complete market cycle and still maintain stable operations are often more worthy of long-term attention.

Alright, those old-timers are still reliable. After all the fuss over new projects, it's still a mess. The new concepts sound exciting, but is there real money involved? It disappears after a quick profit. Sticking with Curve, Aave, and similar platforms, I sleep well.

There's nothing wrong with that; many new coins are just schemes to scam retail investors. HODL these established ones instead, and you'll sleep soundly. Projects that haven't experienced a bear market are not truly solid.

Hold tight to old projects and never let go—that's true alpha. --- Another round of new coins has emerged, but the result? They die just as quickly. --- Honestly, I just stick to those few established protocols. I don't care about the hype. --- Those who constantly promote new concepts, I’ve muted them. Once the fuss is over, it’s gone. --- Simple things tend to last longer; complex flashy tricks are just Photoshop. --- Projects that survive two bear markets are worth going all in. --- Not chasing the hype is really refreshing; it avoids a lot of rug pulls. --- Old friends operating steadily for so long—that’s a signal. --- I don’t care if it’s sexy or not; making money is what matters. --- Every cycle, someone gets fooled by new concepts. I’ve seen through it all. --- Infrastructure projects aren’t that exciting, but at least I can sleep well at night.

Honestly, the group chasing new concepts should wake up now. After one round of cutting, they are truly exhausted. Uniswap is still here, and new projects are all about gimmicks—this is the answer. Sticking to infrastructure... honestly, it's easy to be mocked, but accounts don't lie. Stable operation is the strongest narrative, much more reliable than marketing buzzwords. New things are attractive, but how many can survive two cycles? Not many. That's correct, but the market just loves to gamble on new things. We are in the minority. DeFi needs to be cleaned up; too many trash projects harm newcomers. Projects we hold may not have the chance to soar overnight, but they won't directly clear my positions either. This understanding comes from experience.

To be honest, old projects are indeed more reliable than new concepts. I've seen too many flashy projects run away at the end. Having experienced several bull and bear cycles, I still trust stability in operation—that's the real skill.

Really, new projects get hyped every day and end up with nothing, only a few old-timers are reliable. The market elimination race is like this; flashy projects all die out, while the simple ones survive. Honestly, the phrase "not chasing the hot trends" really hit me. I'm just too greedy and always miss out on the real good stuff. Old DeFi projects are indeed stable, at least no need to worry about rug pulls every day. Holding steady? Easier said than done. I've already cut a lot of meat chasing hot trends. A bunch of new concepts, but how many are truly usable? Most are just fundraising hype. Forget it, let's go back to fundamentals. Less hassle.

That's right, everywhere you look now are AI tokens, new GameFi projects, and they all fade away in three months. The reliable ones are still the old brands that have been around for so many years, even if they don't have much of a story to tell. Sticking to boredom is better than chasing excitement, and that's true. Those flashy things have already been cut and know what it feels like. Every day there's a bombardment of new concepts, but it's just the same old leek machine with a different name. The ones that last longer are actually more valuable, especially this cycle. Most new projects are just PPT dreams; it's more reliable to trust protocols that have survived a halving and are still operating. Projects that build infrastructure are never sexy, but that's exactly why they last a long time. The rest can be whatever. Old projects are stable, they don't make big money but they don't fall into traps either. That's the choice of long-term players. New concepts? Forget it.
