$BNB As expected, the routine has arrived. Those who listen to this wave of news are in luck👍

According to the latest notice, starting from 20:00 on January 2, 2026 (Beijing Time), adjustments will be made to U-based perpetual contracts. When the funding rate, settled every hour, remains within ±0.025% for 16 consecutive periods, the contract system will automatically change the settlement frequency from hourly to every four hours starting from the 17th period.

What does this mean? Simply put, if the rate is stable enough, the settlement cycle will be extended, which can help with cost management for position holders. During periods of high market rate volatility, this rule will not be triggered for the time being.

Is a stable fee rate the key to extending the cycle? Isn't that just a disguised way to lower holding costs? Smart people understand.

Stable fees mean extending the cycle; I've seen through this trick.

Only when the fee rate stabilizes can the cycle be extended. This logic is a bit counterintuitive; we need to wait until the market is truly stable.

Listening to this fee mechanism, it's actually just the sweet spot during stable market conditions. But when volatility spikes, it goes back to normal. I'm familiar with this trick.

Coming back with this again? Extending the cycle when the fee rate is stable sounds good in theory, but what about in practice... Wait, isn't this just a disguised way to cut costs? Clever. Contract traders are going to study new rules again, so annoying. Does this actually help retail investors, or is it just another prelude to a new wave of cutting leeks? I'm skeptical about this round of adjustments. If the market really stabilizes, that would be strange.
