#数字资产动态追踪 Trump delays furniture tariffs—this is not canceled, just postponed
The 30%-50% tariffs will not actually be implemented until 2027. In other words, if there is no substantial progress in negotiations over the next year, these high tariffs will still come into effect. Relevant industries should be mentally prepared.
To be honest, the US-China trade friction over the past few years has already changed the global home furnishing manufacturing landscape. Vietnam, Thailand, Mexico—these places are taking away orders from Chinese factories. This delay may slow down this shift, but the trend itself cannot be reversed.
For large retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s, it’s a short-term relief—at least they don’t have to immediately bear the explosion in costs. Stock investors can also breathe a sigh of relief. The stock prices of related Chinese export companies will also stabilize for a while.
But essentially, this is Trump’s political chess move in an election year. To avoid economic fluctuations triggering public backlash, while keeping trade negotiation leverage. For the global home furnishing industry, it buys a one-year buffer, but the shadow of trade wars and the pressure of supply chain restructuring are far from over. This game has just reached the halfway point.

Will only be implemented in 2027? This is just a political show, giving everyone a one-year breathing space.
The supply chain has already been shifting; delays won't change the overall trend, it's just a temporary measure.
Home Depot is stable for now, but domestic export companies still need to be cautious; negotiations are key to avoid getting hurt.
Just the mid-game, there's still a long way to go.

Pushed back to 2027? Basically kicking the bomb further down the road; it will blow up sooner or later.
If the negotiations really fall apart, those of us holding positions will be in trouble...
The supply chain has all moved to Vietnam and can't come back.
Short-term positive but in the long run, we still need to find a way out.
Betting on negotiations making progress? That's too optimistic, everyone.

Delay Notice No. 2027, the tariffs that will be implemented in 2027, have been a few years since the last commitment... how many years has it been?

It's the same old trick of "postponement, not cancellation" again. Let's reap another wave in 2027.
