This often-overlooked aspect is the foundation. Most struggling profit traders are not actually because their strategies are bad. The problem is weak self-control.

Over trading is its main enemy. The more frequently you execute trades, the more emotional noise enters your decision-making. Fear, greed, and impulsiveness begin to take over market logic. Each additional transaction doesn't increase your chances—it adds variables that are hard to predict.

Consistently profitable traders are actually not very active. They wait for the right setup, not chase every move. Self-discipline to hold or even stay out of the market is a skill that is rarely appreciated but a real game-changer.

This is what I've always wanted to say, it's really more important than any strategy.

That's so true. I used to be the kind of idiot who traded 100 times a day, ending up with heavy losses. Now I realize that less is more.

Really, overtrading is the real poison. I've seen too many people get liquidated because of it. You're right, but knowing is easy, doing is hard. Every time, I can't help but want to act... Trade less and wait more. I understand this principle, but it's too difficult to implement.

Really, I am increasingly understanding the importance of trading less. I used to always try to buy the dip or sell at the top, but ended up losing all my profits to transaction fees. It's hilarious.

I totally agree with this, less activity really means more profit. Many people get it wrong, thinking that trading every day is a profession, but actually it's self-destructive.

nah actually the math on overtrading's cost structure is way worse than most realize... every transaction's another vector for liquidation cascade

Honestly, overtrading has really bankrupted me before. Now, following the rules actually earns me more.
